Motherhood

I read somewhere once that photographers are drawn to photograph what heals them. Maybe this is why photographing the bond between mothers and their children is what makes my heart sing most. The connection with my own mother, who I lost this last year - or my connection with my own children are weighted, meaningful, heavy, treasured, complicated, painfully beautiful. It's a connection that surpasses time and space, a vibration we feel for generations, a thread that can never be broken.
